Papantoniou Institute was officially founded in 1999 and in the past years it has grown, not just in the number of students, but also in the types of subjects available. It is based in Nicosia and all over the island. At the moment, there are two branches operating in Aglandjia Nicosia, namely the University Entrance Department and the Foreign Language Department. And a Foreign Language Department and TEACHER TRAINING DEPT which covers the whole island.
There are people of various nationalities currently studying at the Institute. Apart from Cyprus, we also have students from Greece, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Holland, South Africa, Mexico, Bulgaria, Moldova, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Romania, Morocco, and the Philippines.

Education has always been the life of the Principal of the Institute, Stelios Papantoniou. Here is a link to some of the works of Stelios Papantoniou.
After working for 30 years in government schools,
he retired early in 1999, as the Principal of the Pancyprian Gymnasium, the first High School founded in Cyprus. This is when the Papantoniou
Institute was founded, teaching at first, lessons for University Entrance Examinations and later adding foreign languages.

The staff at the Papantoniou Institute are all highly qualified and experienced in their field. Moreover, a number of the teachers teaching foreign
languages are native speakers of that language.
